Background

Founded in 1987 by Pam Calvert, Communications Management developed to become a specialist PR consultancy engaged in social and economic issues.  We celebrated our 25th anniversary in 2012.

Following a growth in our business in the education field, the company is now a leading strategic communications and reputation management consultancy dedicated specifically to the education and skills sectors. Justin Shaw, Managing Director since 2011, joined Communications Management in 1994 after an in-house communications role in higher education and in education journalism.

We're committed to the education world. We have a charity partnership providing pro-bono support to education charity Villiers Park Educational Trust, encourage employee volunteering (several staff are school governors) and sponsor high profile education awards and The Education Media Centre

We have been awarded Gold and Silver medals in the PR industry's Best Places to Work guide and received numerous awards for our campaigns.

 In 2013 we were ranked number one in the public sector by PR Week  and were finalists in the Education Consultancy of the Year Award.
